• enhance your abilities to prepare for class
• learn how to take better class notes
• refine your study skills
• learn how to prepare for mid term and final exams
• review techniques for preparing for different types of exams
• improve your time management skills

You can sign up for an individualized 30 minute academic skills workshop that will be individually tailored to meet your needs.

ACADEMIC WRITING ASSISTANCE

Students can sign up for one 40 minute writing session per day.

Consultants are available to assist you throughout the writing process from the brainstorming phases, to thesis statement development, to organization and logical development of your arguments, citation requirements, to proofreading and editing strategies.  We can assist you with essay writing, response papers, research papers, and lab report writing.

We provide an encouraging and supportive environment where you can discuss your ideas, review the requirements of your writing project, and create an organized, well written and polished piece of academic writing.

Our ultimate goal is to empower you to become an independent critical thinker and writer.

QUANITATIVE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Students are able to set up one 30 minute session per day with one of our Q Consultants.

Q Consultants are available to assist you with various aspects of your math and science course work so we ask that you bring all relevant class notes, sample problems, and worksheets to your appointment to ensure a productive session.

We also ask that you come prepared with a list of specific problems, concepts, and/or questions that you would like the consultant to review.

Please call the day before to cancel your appointment if you are unable to attend.
